FLAME University is one of the reputed private colleges for Liberal Arts. The university offers a wide diversity of curriculum. Its interdisciplinary focus interconnects various disciplines like Humanities, Social Sciences, Fine and Performing Arts, Physical and Natural Sciences & Global Studies into a single curriculum.
The university offers both 3-year and 4-year undergraduate programs to choose from. The program comprises Foundation Courses, Specialisation Courses (Major and Minor), Experiential Learning Courses, Value-added Courses, Project-based Courses (in the optional year IV), and Open Elective Courses.
The Foundation Courses comprises 18 different courses. Students are required to take eight Foundation Core courses and ten courses across five different universes, with at least two courses in each universe. These courses are designed to be introductory and exploratory in nature.
At FLAME various disciplines are grouped into five broad knowledge areas called ‘ Universes'. The five universes are: Humanities, Social Sciences, Fine and Performing Arts, Physical and Natural Sciences & Global Studies. Students are required to take at least two courses from each universe.

Development Activities Program (DAP) |
Apart from classroom sessions engaged by specialists from the development field, students also have the opportunity to volunteer with an NGO for 4 weeks during their summer break after the first year. |
Discover India Program (DIP) |
The Discover India Program (DIP) is designed to enable students to learn more about India's cultural heritage. Students form groups of 7-10, conduct secondary research on a topic of their choice relating to India's cultural heritage, and then participate in a field-trip to collect primary data. |
Summer Internship Project |
Students can take up a 10-12 week summer internship in a sector they wish to explore as a future career. |
Interdisciplinary Major Project |
Group-based research project in which a team of 4th year students from diverse specialisations work together under the guidance of a faculty member to address an issue or solve a problem that is of relevance to society, technology, business, or any other aspect of life. |

Students can take 6 electives in disciplines outside their areas of specialisation. This will allow students to experience other disciplines or allow them to build knowledge in other courses of their choice.

The admission process involves following stages:
Stage 1: Application
In the first stage, candidates must register with FLAME University and submit their application. The application would normally require details such as entrance level tests scores (SAT/ACT if applicable), personal contact details, educational qualifications, achievements/ extracurricular activities and statement of purpose, etc.
On the basis of application, candidates will be shortlisted for Stage 2.
Stage 2: Entrance Exam, Essay and Online Personal Interview
Entrance exam is mandatory. However, the candidates have the flexibility to either submit their SAT/ACT scores or appear for FLAME Entrance Aptitude Test (FEAT). After the aptitude test, candidates would need to appear for an essay test and a personal Interview.
Stage 3: Admission
On the basis of scores attained in the Stage 2 process, candidates will be given admission into their respective courses.
Note: Candidates will have the flexibility to choose their admission cycle during their 1st Stage.
